Yes, that’s a crucial factor! It must be a show I’ve seen enough times that I almost have it memorized or else it can draw my attention if the book is not engrossing.

I don’t think you’re odd, I think my anxiety plays a lot into why I like music and TV for background noise too. In fact I’ll usually take TV or a movie over music so long as it’s something I’ve seen before.
