I have already sussed out the fact that the step-family are immortal. Only have to figure out if it’s vampires or magic at this point. Yet the main character whose eyes I see everything through has yet to make a connection. This is why people should read fiction. How else is one to realize when their new step-family are immortal possible-monsters?
